The Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites –

The Alpe di Siusi is the largest, most complete, and probably the most beautiful alpine pasture in Europe – as the locals and our many guests would surely agree. Covering an area of 57 km², the Alpe di Siusi is the size of 8,000 football pitches! The high plateau below the Sciliar Mountain lies in the South Tyrolean Dolomites at an altitude of between 1,680 m and 2,530 m above sea level, and is defined by the mountain peaks of Sciliar Mountain, Sassolungo and Sasso Piatto.

The Alpe di Siusi is a popular destination for young and old throughout the year. In summer, hikers, bikers, joggers and Nordic walking enthusiasts can enjoy themselves exploring an extensive patchwork of tracks and meadowland, while in winter its snowy splendour attracts many downhill- and cross-country skiers as well as snowshoe- and winter hikers. This unique natural landscape can be enjoyed at first hand throughout the year, and its incredibly diverse range of flora includes more than 790 different plant species which can be found among the meadows, in the forests, and along the tracks.
